Chassidic singer Dudi Knopfler was sitting in isolation in his home in Monsey, New York, over the last 2 months because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“As an artist, I express my deepest feeling through music,” he says. “As I was sitting in isolation, I composed the song Vehu Levado which illustrates that everything comes from Hashem.”
He wrote the words together Yossi Shick and recorded it together with the Lev Choir at Shevach Studios. Aby Berkowitz arranged and conducted it.
“In a time like this, when a person has time to sit and think to himself, he can come to the realization that only in Hashem we can trust and turn to for help,” Knopfler says.
The version is an acapella one in observance of the mourning time during Sefiras Haomer. “I hope that this song will bring hope and strength,” Knopfler adds.
