Simone’s Becomes Uniquely Chic

Crown Heights couple Yosef and Farah Rosenblat have purchased a venerable children’s clothing store on Kingston Avenue and turned it into a chic children’s clothing experience.

As a young mother living in Crown Heights, Farah Rosenblat said she was frustrated by the lack of options in children’s shopping, and jumped at the chance to purchase children’s clothing boutique Simone’s Place last year.

With both Rosenblats having experience in retail, Yosef and Farah spent a year bringing in new inventory, and the store has undergone extensive renovations in the past few months.

Now they have reopened the bright, modern, open store just in time for the Tishrei holidays and the Fall season, offering a unique collection of children’s brands, such as Carlucci Kids, Madam and Adam and more.

Their new name, “Uniquely Chic” represents both “our strategy and commitment,” Yosef Rosenblat told COLlive.com. “To be ‘unique’ in our merchandise, service and experience, and ‘chic’ by selling elegant, stylish and fashionable clothing.”

“Our store is geared for young parents like ourselves who want a well-organized store with fashion forward children’s clothing, for both every day and Yom Tov at competitive prices,” Rosenblat said.

The store carries clothing in sizes infants to teens 22 for girls and infants to size 12 for boys, but Farah Rosenblat points out that they specialize in young teens and pre-teens, an age group which is “majorly overlooked and hard to find clothing for. We carry many lines in those sizes, and we plan to move to a dedicated space downstairs just for teens in the near future.”
