September 15, 2013 10:12 pm

These are seriously beautiful photographs!!! But, has anybody thought about the safety threat this might pose? It just feels like a bad idea to put pictures of the interiors, exteriors, names, and address of so many shuls, in one place on a public forum like this… Just putting it out there…

This is one of the loveliest posts ever! Thank you so much. Looking forward to many more similar posts. Suggestions, other Shuls in CH. , photographs of former Shuls sites in CH, articles about the general Jewish History of CH. etc.

Write up a full list-names of shuls, addresses, contact info and style if it is for a specific crowd. Great pixs..

You say Ad Matai, but if everyone who lived in Crown Heights went to 770 there would be no room in 770 for all the people who come for Tishrei. Sadly, many local chassidim stay away from 770 in Tishrei because of how the “guests” treat the locals. Not everyone has the physical ability to go to 770, some need a quieter minyan, a slower minyan, a faster minyan, a place that is more or less ____________ then 770. It is not the be all end all. Hashem hears our tefillos whether in 770, the kosel, or our very own… Read more »

Nice
September 15, 2013 1:10 am

I think it’s nice to see other Shuls in Crown Heights besides 770. We get to see photos of 770 all the time… Before I visited Crown Heights for the first time 10 years ago, I didn’t even realise there were other Shuls there; I just figured everyone davened at 770…

maybe make a virtual, online directory. especially for the WOMEN who dont know which entrances to walk into and/or if a shul even has a woman’s section.
