The National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education is urging Anash and Shluchim who are able to attend the trial of Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
“We have been approached by members of the community asking us whether it would be a good idea to go to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to attend the trial and to give support to Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin and his family,” states a press release sent to COLlive.
“We have discussed this matter at great length. Following the positive impression made by the group of supporters who attended the first week’s proceedings, (they got good coverage with the press and generally made a good impression on the court and on the population of Sioux Falls) we make the following suggestion:
“Anash and Shluchim who live close enough to Sioux Falls so that they can travel roundtrip, either by car or by plane in one day, should make the effort to make the trip and attend the trial.
“Those who feel that they can reasonably give two days, all the better. For those who live farther the expense in time and money will be much greater and it will require a bit of a sacrifice.”
All who attend should make their own arrangements for food and lodging.

I was with the first group we B”H proved that its posible to get positive media covrage when u actully sit down and talk to the reporter instead of giving these -no comment , antisemitism, type answers. like every thing in life talking to the media takes some skill and those who spoke managed to succeed.
