A new sefer Torah that was written in Israel in memory of a special young woman will be welcomed to its permanent home in Monsey, New York this Sunday.

The Torah, dedicated by the Farkash family from around the world, was written in memory of their daughter and sister, Riki Farkash who brought joy to all who knew her until her passing last year at the age of 27.

"Riki never allowed her limitations to stop her from helping others," her brother Dudi Farkash told "She was always involved in helping others, founding an organization called Shluvot in Jerusalem for children with special needs."

The Torah, which was completed at a ceremony in Jerusalem, will be welcomed with great celebration on the 10th of Adar, Riki's first Yartzeit, to its new home at the Chabad of Olympia Shul.

The Shul, which takes place in the home of Farkash, is an active congregation where every day and especially on Shabbos, close to 100 chassidim of all types join Litvish of all types to daven and farbreng and learn Chassidus.

The dedication ceremony will take place on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 6:00 pm.
13 Olympia Lane, Monsey, NY. The public is invited to participate.
