Over the past few days, Republican NYC Councilman Eric Ulrich, who is running for Public Advocate, visited leaders of the Orthodox Jewish community in an effort to court their vote.
Mr. Ulrich met with leaders from Bobov, Satmar, Pupa, Belz and Bobov-45 among many others. He also visited the Masbia soup kitchen in Boro Park where Executive Director Alexander Rapaport gave him a tour of the kitchen and the activities it does by providing food and nourishing meals to hundreds of families.
“I’ve been delighted to meet with so many community leaders who represent families with similar values to my own,” said Eric Ulrich. “As Public Advocate, I will fight for the rights of all yeshiva families, because its personal for me. As a religious person myself, I choose to send my own daughter to religious schools.”
“There is just too much regulation from the city. Job-killing regulations and fines that hurt small businesses, burdens that even Amazon – the largest company in the word- wanted no part of, and now the City and State want to take these regulations into our schools. I will stand up for common sense, small businesses, jobs and Yeshiva families,” Ulrich added.
The NYC Special Election will take place on Tuesday, February 26. Eric Urich is one of 17 candidates to appear on the ballot in the non-partisan election. He is running on the Common Sense party line.
Fyi if anything happens to the Mayor, the person in the office for Public Advocate takes the place of Mayor
He supports alternative marriage. I met him last week in Boro park in front of the Shomer shabbos shul and asked him about his position on same gender marriage. He said he supports it. How is he our values. Yes he is the best of the best of the bunch running but why are our leaders waking up when it’s too late and we are being swallowed up by the lefty democrats. They are corrupting a whole generation of youth.
I will vote for him! We need smart republicans leading this city
He can be a great public advocate, but needs to do a lot of outreach in the next week
