On Sunday Erev Rosh Chodesh Shvat, Fathers of the Cheder Lubavitch Morristown joined their sons for their annual farbrengen in preparation for Yud Shvat.
The program began with the boys learning the Bosi L’Gani Maamer together with their fathers. After which everyone Davened Shachris together and then reviewed a Sicha on Yud Shvat.
Rabbi Ari Wilschanski the Menahel of Cheder spoke about the special opportunity of fathers and sons coming together at a Farbrengen and the need to do our part to prepare for Yud Shvat to strengthen our Hiskashrus.
The boys were treated to stories and words of inspiration from several Zeides of the cheder: Rabbi Sholom Spalter of Morristown Tomchei Tmimim, Rabbi Yossi Baumgarten from South Africa and Rabbi Moshe New from Montreal.
In preparation for the event, every class worked on beautiful posters about the life and history of our Rabbeim. Each class was given a different Rebbe. The boys researched the life and works of their assigned Rebbe. At the farbrengen, representatives from each kitah prepared and gave a presentation on the class’s work.
Talmidim had a chance to showcase their projects and fathers were given an opportunity to view their son’s work in an inspirational event that was enjoyed by all.
Thanks for sharing!
Every school should do this!
