The 15-year-old Chabad girl who has been last seen on December 9 in Crown Heights and was announced missing by the NYPD 71st Precinct Detective Squad was found on Thursday.
People involved in the matter confirmed that she has been found in a safe state. They thanked the school’s staff for taking the lead in the efforts and to the police for their work.
They also thanked the staff of COLlive.com for their assistance and to COLlive readers for providing useful tips that helped lead to her location out of the country.
The student’s name was removed from this article to protect her privacy. Previous comments on this article were removed as well.
There are probably many more who are struggling with all kinds of things but perhaps haven’t yet reached the point of running away.
Parents, teachers, classmates, neighbors…. please watch out for these children. If you think something is wrong, reach out to someone – the child, her family, a sensitive Rebbetzin – and help the child find peace.
I hope this young lady gets all the love and support she needs.
As mentioned above the school did an a amazing job and lots more behind the scenes!

The school took the lead role in the investigation and cared for all the students in school at the same time. The school is completely devoted to every aspect of the students needs.
We are lucky.
Thanks

They handled it so well. Kids were allowed to be confused and ask questions. Each question of the students was answered by a licensed social worker. Nothing was hushed or shoved under rug. The students were treated very maturely and allowed to air their concerns and fears and be calmed down. Everything was out in the open and the social worker’s door was open for the past few days. A true example how to function in a time of crisis.
