A Young Shliach in a remote place doing his holy work may sometimes ch”v feel not-so-significant to the big picture.
Attending the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim, where the Young Shluchim come together from all over the world, is a beautiful reminder that the big picture is made up of many small strokes.
Following this theme of the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim 5779, a new initiative was launched by the Young Shluchim division of the Shluchim Office, encouraging children to help kids in their community buy a letter in the Children’s Sefer Torah.
Similar to individual acts of Mitzvos, a Torah has many many letters, but each one of them is crucial to the whole.
Although each act is small, together they create a giant beautiful picture.
“It’s always important to have a Hachlata after such an inspiring Kinus,” remarked Berel Bendet, who directs the Tzeirei Hashluchim. “The Ois B’sefer Torah campaign fit so nicely with this year’s theme, and it’s also quite easy for the Young Shluchim to accomplish.”
“We’d like to thank the people who put in many hours of dedicated work to make the campaign and video, including Mendel Bergstein, Mendel Lerman, Shmaya Hecht, Shmuly Gniwisch, Yossi Lipskier and Mendel Perlstein.”
Special thank you also goes to Rabbi Shmuel Greisman and Zushe Greisman of the Children’s Sefer Torah, Yechiel Schwerd, Oholei Torah 6th Grade, and Jewish Educational Media.
