Rabbi Moshe and Sheina Luchins are moving from New York as new Shluchim in Mequon, Wisconsin.
The Luchins will serve the Directors of Community Engagement at Chabad of Wisconsin, directed by Head Shliach Rabbi Yisroel Shmotkin.
The Luchins are the latest family to join the Rebbe’s Shluchim in Wisconsin, marking 50 years of service to Wisconsin Jewry.
Moshe, originally from Scranton, PA and his wife Sheina, a California native, together with their baby Menachem will bring a new young energy to the area with their creativity and talents.
“The Luchins’ energy and enthusiasm toward introducing Jewish traditions to new families, will bring a whole new level of outreach to the families in Mequon, Thiensville, Grtafton and Cedarburg,” Chabad of Wisconsin said in a statement.
“This new initiative will work to connect with unaffiliated Jewish households, and to acquaint them with a warm, non-judgmental and inspirational community that is part of the greater global Chabad Lubavitch movement,” they said.
