Rabbi Avremi and Bracha Slavaticki (nee Nemes), along with their three children, have recently moved to Decatur, Georgia, to establish the city’s first Chabad Center.
Decatur, Georgia, is a diverse, colorful, and vibrant city with top-rated schools, friendly neighborhoods, tree-lined streets and eclectic boutiques, everything you could possibly expect to find in an all-American city, except for one thing. Until now, the city had no Jewish Center.
Rabbi Avremi and Bracha Slavaticki are about to change that, having just moved as the Shluchim to Decatur. They have already begun working with local residents and city officials to develop the vision and lay the groundwork for an all-new Chabad Center for Jewish Life and Education.
Avremi and Bracha were each raised on Shlichus, Avremi in Antwerp, Belgium, and Bracha in New Orleans, Louisiana. Each was brought up on the foundation of the Rebbe’s vision to bring Yiddishkeit to every part of the world, and to reach out to every Jew with love, while bringing them closer to Torah and Mitzvos.
Chabad of Decatur is the 16th Chabad house to be established under Chabad of Georgia, led by Rabbi Yossi New of Atlanta.
Partner with the new Shluchim in bringing Jewish life in Decatur to spiritual heights never seen there before.
