Dr. Scott Noren, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who is running to represent New York in the U.S. Senate, will be in Crown Heights on Wednesday to meet residents.
Noren, 58, lives in Ithaca, NY with his wife and children. He has written two proposed bills, one on student loan reform and another a small business loan program to stimulate job growth.
He plans to run against the incumbent Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and her Republican and Conservative opponent Chele Farley.
Dr. Noren is scheduled to meet local residents today, Wednesday, at 4 pm at the Crown Heights Library, 1044 Eastern Parkway in the meeting room.
He will be discussing funding for religious schools, local economy, college loan interest reform, gun violence and its prevention, special needs issues for families regarding dental care and travel assistance initiatives, fighting anti-Semitism and other issues.
Dr. Noren, a second generation American of Ukrainian-Russian immigrant grandparents, practices Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Ithaca, NY. He has served on the Surrogate Decision-Making Panel of NYS for several years.
Dr. Noren serves on his local Dental District Committee and the State Hospital Dentistry Committee. He served 6 years non-combat in the US Army and did his undergrad at University of Illinois at Chicago, Dental School at Loyola University of Chicago and Oral Surgery Residency at University of Missouri Kansas City.
His father served in the Korean War and his mother was very active in the Jewish War Veterans organization in Chicago.
Dr. Noren is the father of a special needs adult daughter who has autism and seizure disorder. Dr. Noren and his wife are very knowledgeable through experience on raising an autistic child and all the intricacies of doing so.

Why are things like this always scheduled for times like 4pm? That works only for the leydigeyers. Those of us who work for a living can’t attend political events at 4pm.
…that Mr. Noren doesn’t appear on the ballot, not having received enough signatures to qualify (see https://ballotpedia.org/Scott_Noren). Practically speaking, then, this means that his chances of getting elected as a write-in candidate are slim to none. On the other hand, the chances of him siphoning votes from Chele Farley, thus leaving Kirsten Gillibrand with all of her dishonesty and anti-Israel sentiments, in office – is high.
