Community activists are calling on the community to support the expansion of the only Crown Heights foster home.
For the past five years, Moshe and Hindy have opened their home to children in need of a safe home. But there is not enough room to accommodate all requests. They are looking to add space to house additional local Jewish children in need.
Zaki Tamir the Rosh Hakohol of Crown Heights said “Moshe and Hindy have put in their money, time and expertise. They have given of their heart of themselves and of their home.”
Rabbi Meir New, who cofounded Aliya girls and recently Neshamos.org, called it “a big big service.” saying that unfortunately there is a real need for foster homes in Crown Heights.
The campaign will allow Moshe and Hindy to sign a two year lease on a new and large space here in Crown Heights so that there children can stay here in the community – where they belong.
