Statistics show that the problem is bigger in white and middle class communities.

So are you just part of the problem? Are you one of those folks who proclaims that there is no opioid problem in the Jewish community? If so, it must hurt a lot to continuously bury your head in the sand when there is r”l another pain pill or heroin death in an Anash family.

There have been numerous deaths in the frum community from overdoses. People have to know how to reverse an overdose with naxalone.

Thank you for your hard work

Thank you for the hard work of NCFJE and Mr Berman. We can not put our heads in the sand when even one in ‘our’ community has passed away from this epidemic. Awareness, information & resources are the key to prevention.
If you don’t think you need this don’t attend, but lets just give credit where credit is due.
If this event can save ONE LIFE, it is worth its weight in GOLD.

For real?

Do we not have any dignity? Is EVERY epidemic equal to both jewish and non jewish communities? What’s next, an event on gun control for the frum community?

Easy access to drugs and lenient laws
May 15, 2018 12:35 pm

People go through abuse and hardships and stress and can’t handle it and than have easy access to drugs and can’t stop.

That is not true at all. I know from personal experience, as one with no marijuana use in my life, that one can get addicted to opioids or other drugs without having to use weed first,

Stop the pot you stop the progression to the harder stuff

Most think pot is benign and that is what leads to the harder stuff. You stop the experimentation with marijuana you stop the opioid issue at least with our youth.
