All forgiven?
The man who filmed a disturbing video of himself ridiculing a young Chassidic boy with foul language about his looks has issued a public apology.
“I’m truly sorry for my actions,” Quai James said in a new video posted on Tuesday afternoon on Twitter. It has already received over 3,000 likes and many comments discussing his public regret.
The first video, which went viral on Sunday, showed a boy walking down what seemed to be a street in Brooklyn and being told that his haircut – a shaved head under the kippah and long payos – should make him cry.
“Had to really let my son know how i felt about the whole Jewish Haircut… Pray for the lil homie,” James first wrote. He later edited the post, and removed the word Jewish from the caption.
While the video was removed from the original posts on Facebook and Twitter, it remained available on private accounts and in groups, as well as on Reddit titled “Guy makes fun of Hasidic child.”
It was widely condemned as either anti-Semitic or simply heartless. Among the outraged responders was New York City Councilman Brad Lander who called the video “gross viral anti-Semitism.”
In the new video, James makes it clear that he is not anti-Semitic, noting that he has many Jewish friends and that his babysitter was Jewish. He goes on to express regret over what he has done.

was tendered. Let’s move on,please!
He apologized. Forget it. It’s over, finished, done.
That’s sounds very sincere very impressive
His ‘apology’ should never have been publicized .. let him live with the consequences of his actions just like this kid has to !
This was his easy ( and Phoney ) way out !
Has he offered compensation to the kid ? brought him gifts ? offered to clean the families car ? fix their drains ? anything ??? probably not !
just a rambling ‘apology ‘ where he spends most the time talking about himself !
wake up people !
Now how about saying sorry to me for saying i have a chip on my shoulder ??!! will i accept it ? yes , you know why , because you a fellow jew! Anyone who has it in them to do what he did to that poor child is worthless and sorry doesn’t help. sorry won’t help this kid when he has nightmares , sorry won’t help that ihes plastered all over the internet and has become the butt of so many jokes … how do we know how this will effect him in the future and you want me… Read more »
I find it sad that a few people can not accept his apology and instead berate this man. I think it DOES matter that he apologized. We inevidently err, we inevidently are apologetic. That he did those two things is moving. Those of you who refuse to appreciate this man seem to have a chip on your shoulders. Maybe you should check yourself. Not all of ANY group are the same. You should know that.
Leave it! The guy totally apologised, he was very sincere, and I think he meant every word of it!
Time to accept and just move on!
If it was the opposite way around, meaning a Jew made fun of a black kid, we wouldn’t here the end of it; even if the Jew apologized.
‘Great guy’? ‘Thank you”? So now if you want to be a hero, all you need to do is exploit a child publicly in what amounts to an anti semitic rant and then.. apologize. That makes you a hero.. How pathetic, I assure you that making fun of this guy’s kid and then apologizing wouldn’t make you a hero in his community. Here’s a suggestion- use a little self control and stay away from small children- that’ll make you a hero.
this guy is a fake!
internet attention seeker who will do anything for his 5 min of fame !
he insult a kid , it bombs so now he’s looking for more attention by giving the apology of the year !
he gave himself away when he said he has jewish friends and a jewish babysitter .. yeah right ! they all day that!!!
go away and get a job man!
that it’s suitable to realize and then apologize and be man
enough to apologize (which we all probably should do
at certain times)
Very impressed with his expression of regret, very clear and articulate. He explained himself well, and in my opinion did more than enough to apologize, even transforming the original thing to goodness, effectively.
Pretty honest apology.
Thank you, Quai Jones. Your apology is sincerely accepted.
I think he was hysterical
No lies the first video was actually hilarious.
The mean to funny ratio was on point.
No need to apologize.
People need to stop taking things so seriously.
But again sounds like a great guy!
Fully agree👍
Very moved
James your apology seemed sincere no doubt you have learned from this and you will grow and be the best person that you can be.
I think we should acknowledge that in today’s day when everybody is so used to trolling online and shooting their mouth off in cruel ways it takes a big man to back down and admit his words were wrong. I give the guy credit.
We reject three times…
Glad you stepped up and apologized!
So how do you want to give back… beyond the apologies via video
Apology is accepted. Let’s move on.
seems sincare
This man is expressing sincere regret. And is publicly apologizing to the Jewish nation.
Venahafochu
About his comments or his apologies. Who suddenly made what this creature is sorry for important?
i think he was sincere ! i hope he really changes his ways
It’s about time.
Hopes he learns for the future.
