This looks like a beautiful store & I wish Mr. Stroh much Hatzlacha.

When Mendel Brikman A”H first opened Sterling Electronics , we were re-vamping our kitchen & bought all our appliances there. We were very happy & Mendel was such a pleasure to work with, so nice and helpful. I’m sure his stamp is still on the store, & it’s nice you retained the name. Mendel made the store a great shopping experience & I’m sure you will continue what he accomplished.

Hatzlacha!

Kosher Mikva??
March 11, 2018 11:52 pm

We need a kosher Mikva under Rabbinical supervision. The Mikva by sterling hasn’t had proper supervision until now. Now is time for change!

First off, wishing you much success. Second: If you wish to capture the under 60-70 year old market, I.e. customers that in 15-20 seconds can pull up exactly what the product really sells for online with free 2 day shipping, then please establish your pricing accordingly. I have no problem supporting a neighborhood business with a couple percent more, but when a pot costs $70 on kingston and I can buy the same think on Amazon for $25, sorry, you lost me.

I’m sure I am not alone in giving a huge thank you to Weinstein’s, kettle and cord and welcome home, for being so kind and gracious these past months and accommodating us with the use of their mikvah. Thank you!!

Their business model if like that of many online Amazon’s businesses. Most vendors won’t sell to you if you only sell online but if they see that you have a brick and mortar store then they are more likely to sell to you which is how you undercut your competitors. I’d you buy from the distributor and they sell on amazon as well then you won’t get as good a price from them. So sterling and buzz and kettle and c will probably lose money on their retail store but their margins are big enough and sell enough volume on… Read more »

is it gonna be crown heights prices

Mazel-tov, and hatzlochoh rabbah on the upgrade!
March 11, 2018 3:38 pm

Much hatzlochoch! I hope the prices will be competitive enough to have our people buy electronics etc. locally rather than online. Honestly, am willing to spend a bit more, but not a great deal more, to give the parnassah to our own neighbors. Simply put, most of us consumers also worry about balancing our budgets…
BTW, are we to understand that The Buzz stores in Boro-Park and Flatbush are now totally under the new ownership of Mr. Stroh? I’m not entrepreneurial and don’t get it; Why would they sell what seems to be a lucrative business? I don’t get it…

Best of Luck

March 11, 2018 2:28 pm

Finally some competition with the other stores in crown heights. Maybe that will bring prices to nearly as cheap as Amazon
