Record numbers of people from frum Jewish communities are finding successful careers in IT (Information Technology), which includes computer programing, software development, app development, and networking.
“This field is growing at an exponential rate,” says Dr. Menachem Feuer, co-founder of Adaleg-IT, a program that teaches programming, app development, software development, and IT networking to men and women.
Adaleg IT has been training frum men and women in the Jewish community in Toronto, Canada, since 2015, providing students with the know-how, skills, and experience to enter the IT workforce.
Feuer says his model has been to have classes taught by successful IT professionals who are active within the Jewish community and are gainfully employed in the IT sector.
One of them is Eli Wasserman who graduated Adaleg IT’s program in Toronto. Today he is an IT professional and a member of the TNS Group, a boutique IT firm in Manhattan.
Wasserman will be one of the people presenting the new IT course in Crown Heights for men at CHYE (Crown Heights Young Entrepreneurs) at 510 Empire Blvd. It runs November 19 to March 25, 2018, Tuesday and Thursday 7:30pm to 10:30pm and Sunday 8am to 2pm.
The course will introduce students to CISCO networking and get them on the path to a CISCO CCNA Certification. “The role of these teachers is not simply to teach the subject, but also to mentor students and help them to transition into the IT workplace,” Feuer says.
He said future classes will include a women’s only class, in addition to the men’s only class. Online classes are also available.
After completing the course in Crown Heights, Adaleg IT will be working with IT Companies in the New York Area and Tsomet (a reputable job placement group) – to train, mentor, and place students in the IT workforce.

Eli is very knowledgeable and will do a great job!
Thank you for putting this together
Eli is one of the guys who pushed to get this thing started in Toronto, and after a couple conversations inspired me to join the program.
Whenever I had a question, Eli was my go-to person, as he almost always knew the answer and had the patience to explain.
Great choice in having Eli deliver the course.
