Composer Wins Music Award

Composer Sarah Dukes won a Silver Medal for Outstanding Achievement from the Global Music Awards.

Composer Sarah Dukes has been selected a winner in the Global Music Awards.

Her new album of original piano solos, Life Sometimes, was honored with a Silver Medal for Outstanding Achievement In Music in the New Age Solo Piano and Album categories.

"It's a great honor to have my music recognized in such a global way," Dukes shared. "This is an example of how the Rebbe taught us to use our talents that Hashem has given us to affect the entire world. I hope this will inspire people to go out and 'Ker A Velt'."

Global Music Awards is a top-tier music competition that honors talented musicians around the world. It is a showcase for musical gems and unique voices. Global Music laurels are a stamp of credibility for gifted, emerging musicians.

Since first emerging as a prodigious composer and pianist in late 2011, Dukes’ career has continued to rise in an upward trajectory. Dukes has been hand picked by Whisperings-Solo Piano Radio as one of their exclusively featured solo piano artists, and was granted the Akademia Music Award for best pop ballad in 2015 for her song "No More."

Her richly nuanced songs have been featured in several popular documentaries produced by Jewish Educational Media, as well as streamed on various international channels including Enlightened Piano Radio, and One World Music Radio.

The most recent releases of her singles One: Orchestrated Version, and Raining Rockets introduced a new level of musical beauty to her already powerful collection of original compositions.

Her Aidelkeit
What has made my family enjoy her music so so much is that she has teamed up with Yaron Gershovsky allowing the menfolk to enjoy her compositions too.

I am blown away by her aidelkeit. If I had her talent, I'd probably want to be the one playing ! She has inspired me, within my own profession, to know when it's more befitting to take a role "backstage"

Finally an alternative to Yanni
I couldn't stand that for camp plays they always used Yanni. Now we have new age piano music that comes from a real chabadnik!
