Women's "Night of Light" Concert

This Monday, the 3rd Annual "A Night of Lights" Chanukah Concert for women will be an uplifting evening featuring popular local women singers.

Coming off the astounding success of previous years, the Crown Heights Levi Yitzchok Library is proud to once again present its premier fundraiser evening: ‘A Night of Lights’ Gala Concert for Women.

Crown Heights’ star performers are joining together on the 2nd night of Chanukah, Chof Hey Kislev (Monday, December 7th) to create an elegant, exclusive concert in support of the Crown Heights Levi Yitzchok Library. In line with the library’s vision to nurture community creativity, the intimate, 100-seater Gala Concert, hosted in the library itself, will engage women and girls in the deep and rich experience of Jewish music at its best.

With steaming beverages, a wine and cheese tasting and other gourmet refreshments, attendees can look forward to an inspiring ‘Night of Lights’ featuring celebrated songstress Esther Freeman ( and her empowering hit-music; singer and songwriter Shaindel Antelis ( sharing original compositions; classically trained soprano Chava Shapiro ( presenting a treat of Yiddishe favorites.

The star line-up continues with Californian-born artist Riv Eilfort-Fenton ( playing her resonating, soulful originals; sensational pianist/composer Sarah Dukes ( and soothing, melodic piano arrangements. The captivating Shoshana Michel ( will play her enchanting niggunim on the piano; Sheina Mushka Einstein will delight on the guitar and drums; and Liat Rorick will serenade us with song and guitar in her unique Israeli style. With the addition of powerful renditions from Chaya Sara Weiss, thought-provoking originals by Shoshana Bander, heart-felt compositions from Rivka Leah Cylich and a performance from emerging artist Miriam Ilyayev - the program is filled with endless delight for the musical soul.

This is an event you don't want to miss! With tickets selling fast online ($25 early-bird, $30 online, $35 at the door), women and girls are encouraged to book their seats now at!

Children are also invited to join in Chanukah celebrations at the library with extra special story time on both Sundays of Chanukah, plus the Mommy & Me on December 9th at 10:00am which will feature an extra Chanukah theme! Throughout the whole Chanukah there will also be special activities available at the Library, whenever you stop by.
