I seriously hope you are saying it “toungue in cheek”. The siruvim were all given by the total beis din or Rabbis Marlow, Heller and Osdoba, which the Rebbe recognoized supported and was behind that very decision.
So why don’t you change your words and write a vote tomorrow is against the Rebbe.
I have never seen such a chutzpahdik comment.

If you are depressed about lack of funds and quality of life sacrifices being on Shlichus – just read these comments to get a taste of the alternative… Hey, maybe fund raising, donated cars and frozen milk are not that bad after all 😉

DEFY Rabbi Osdoba who SHAMED, Rabbi Krinsky, Shemtov, Fisher and Hershkops with SIRUV's
May 23, 2009 4:56 pm

Rabbi Schwei never wrote ANY siruv NOT against Rabbi Fisher and NOT against Rabbi Krinsky and NOT against Rabbi Shemtov and NOT against Hershkop. Anyone who votes tomorrow, it is a vote against all of Osdoba SIRUV’s that he hung up in 770 – the very ones which you always wanted to take down. Now is your chance not just to “take down” the siruv but to take down the MAN, Osdoba, who put it up all these siruv’s against everyone else. All those who have any respect for Rabbi Krinsky and for Rabbi Shemtov, must come out to vote… Read more »

to anyone who comments on this matter using the word community, please clarify which community do you refer to? if you mean geographical blocks, streets and houses don’t vote. if you mean people – what shared aspect do all crown heights residents have other than they live here? we don’t share rabonim, theological perspectives, or social laws. what’s the point of this “election” exercise. it won’t bind anyone or anything.

The Anti-Meshichisten hold that the Rebbe is not Moshiach (while some of them hold that they are ashamed of their Rebbe so they are ashamed to admit it and other anti’s have the absurd view that if the LIE enough times about it “to the world” then maybe, maybe, maybe someone will be gullible enough to believe the LIE that the Rebbe is not Moshiach). After all there is a new sucker born every second, so the way to make “Kovod Lubavitch” is to consider everyone a sucker and to LIE to the entire world about the truth in hopes… Read more »

to # 46 - Anti's ae always FULL OF HATE (against Meshichisten)
May 22, 2009 11:10 am

Meshichisten harbor no hate against Anti’s.

Lubavitchers harbor no hate against Misnagdim.

Why do Misnagdim “hate” and why do anti’s “HATE”?

Yidden don’t “HATE” Goyim. We could care less about them but we harbor no “HATE” to seek to destroy them all.

Why then do Goyim harbor so much “HATE” against Yidden?

Because deep down in their heart the “HATERS” know that the “HATED” are better, but they can’t quite live up to it so they express their frustration with hate and seek to destroy the other so they can ease their GUILTY feelings.

So it’s true, your whole religion/yiddishkit (or in this case mishichiskit) is biased around a color, a slogan?

Yes, I hate the Yellow/slogan as well,
Painting use like were the haters is the same old propaganda we have seen in the last 15 years.
etc… I can write a lot about the above, but it’s a waist of time.

A very good news. We need those elections. It’s for the good of the community. Not only for CH residents, but for all the Chabad community.

Are you living in la-la land? Women don’t count! Period. There is NO democracy in this neighborhood. I don’t understand why a group of women don’t go to court for the right to vote. Oh, wait, they did that already! But the news hasn’t reached these guys’ Blackberries. They are still living in the 17th century…when it suits them. If voting for the Vaad is strictly secular, then women SHOULD vote. And if we have to go to Rabbonim to answer shaailohs & we are humiliated & verbally abused, then we should be able to choose who we tell our… Read more »

Rabbi Shwei Please Make Peace with the other elected rabbanim before the elections.
May 21, 2009 10:08 pm

I am sure that Rabbi Osdoba also agrees that we need elections every few years. However there are priorities & Rabbi Osdoba wants unity before elections. Rabbi Shwei did not recognize the last legitimate elections for rabbanim as a result he does not hold of the concept of having a majority in the Bais Din that we can follow. What Rabbi Osdoba wants is for Rabbi Shwei to recognize previous elections before new elections happen, I feel that is unlikely for Rabbi Shwei to agree to recognize his opponents. I think the solution would be for all the Rabbanim to… Read more »

You are correct, this is not an Anti vs. moshiachist.

This is Moshichist vs. fundementalists. Part of the problem is R’ shvei has been influenced by the yellow flags. A vote for this vaad is a vote for the yellow taliban.

Mutchkin is the Man

We need someone who has the guts, not to back down, when threatened by the incumbants, who want to continue their corruption, indeffinately, without any elections ever.

Mutchkin is the only one who says it like it is and is fully ready, willing and able to take on all the coruption HEAD ON, fearlessly.

you are probably young or new to the area. in the past some people trying to undermine the will of the Rebbe, Rabbonim and Vaad hakohol and wanted to disqualify the whole institution went to court and sued on this very grounds that since woman can’t vote – its an illegal elections. What happened was basically this: for that election woman were permitted to vote and there was a referendum asking the woman if they should vote or not. and Guess what – the woman came out and voted that only men should vote from there on… now it is… Read more »

May 21, 2009 1:52 pm

Give free election to the peasants, and they will choose Hamas.

I think the Rebbe left the building and is choosing New Square, they got their stuff together, and know how to build schools, homes, a community housing, and look at the end result.

housing = cheap

machlokes = very little

tuition = FREE

Osdoba's Team Looses BIG TIME!
May 21, 2009 1:15 pm

I predict that Osdoba’s team will quit the case before the 3d of June, because everyone knows the truth, that “they are FULL OF IT” and they don’t want real justice. It was all just a TRICK to wait untill the last second and try and sneak and underhanded TRO from a gullible Judge. The people now in charge of the CHJCC, who are full of corruption, are not the least bit interested in any real trial. They only want “delay tactics” like a fake TRO to undermine justice but are not the least bit interested in any REAL DAY… Read more »

VOTE or libertyy will be history!
May 21, 2009 1:11 pm

My personal opinion is that it is the duty of every concerned and caring resident of crown heights to make sure to vote, or liberty will be their history. This is our opportunity to effect change and eliminate dictatorship communism, nepitisom, oligorchism from continuing to run our community down.

Score for the yellow revolution
May 21, 2009 12:11 pm

The extreme meshichist camp has hijacked the community. If the elections go through and are deemed legittimate by the courts we will all be forced to paint our houses yellow. The same lawyer that defended Lipsker after he legitimized the yellow revolution, and their placque destroying tactics, is now defending their enablers.
