peaple think tha polorack ia an attorney on the case
he is not
he is not yet eaxperienced enough to do a case like this
the real attorney on the case behind whom hes operating is
ed rudovski

He is in CHEREM
May 21, 2009 9:04 am

The one who encouraged the plaintiffs to go to court is himself in CHEREM and has no authority to issue any Psak Din on anyone about anything.

Its all a result of LIES

The concept of democracy makes sense when information among people is flowing free. In this community, when most people are fed false info what the Rebbe said and why he said what he said, and the more one professes supposed Chasidishkeit and Hiskashrus, the more people buy his statements, the votes of the majority are meaningless.

I think that all the Rabbonim has to resign, and call to new elections for Rabbonim,in groups , so the Rabbonim in dispute cannot be together

Shame on Chabad
May 21, 2009 3:08 am

Going to a Goyish court !!! What a shame. Chabad is destroying itself. Sad, very sad. All Chabad needed these elections. We are a joke for the whole world.

is that all this fighting bagan when moishe rubashkin took office, he may have a good heart and did mitzvos but it is since he took office that the fights raged out of control, beleive it or not he is still trying to hold on to power while in prison, he is a nice guy but has no bussiness in politics, he only brought fights and chilul Hashem and lubavitch. besides he compleatly ran chjcc to the ground. Moishe stay out of public work stick to the private industry. hope he comes out soon.

kraus is a machlokes man, ask around in belgium where he comes from, him & hendel are tightening their grip on CH, with the old age complaint of ahavas yisroel schwei was the only candidate in an election, that is communism at its height, it didnt take long for the community to fight back and vote in rubashkin who would tame schwei. but chanina, who did not win enough votes, but cried his way in, made sure to keep schwei & cronies in the loop CH does nto appreciate a true rov like osdoba, he is a yodea halacha, a… Read more »

What is really going on?
May 20, 2009 8:42 pm

I am sure that Rabbi Osdoba also agrees that we need elections every few years. However there are priorities & Rabbi Osdoba wants unity before elections. Rabbi Shwei did not recognize the last legitimate elections for rabbanim as a result he does not hold of the concept of having a majority in the Bais Din that we can follow. What Rabbi Osdoba wants is for Rabbi Shwei to recognize previous elections before new elections happen, I feel that is unlikely for Rabbi Shwei to agree to recognize his opponents. I think the solution would be for all the Rabbanim to… Read more »

Is all I can say. Wouldn’t go near Osdoba with a 10 foot pole, and don’t care to get to know Schwei.

CAPTION SHOUD READ ELECTIONS POSTPONED IN COURT BY RABBI OSDOBA WHO WAS ALREADY IN CONTEMPT OF BEIS DIN FOR HIS PREVIOUS COURT CASES, AND NOW IS FIGHTING THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY IN THE COURTS. The rebbe stated clearly that a Rov must do things al pi din and must be able to answer meiheichon dantuni. Rabbi Osdoba deserves to be impeached and there is no doubt in my mind that the Rebbe agrees with that too. Hes made a mockery of the Torah, he is a machzik bemachloikes. He has a niduy on him for going to secular courts in a… Read more »

now we need sholom.
May 20, 2009 6:00 pm

now is the time to speak to ‘ale fronten’ to step down. all rabonim, vaadim, gaboim, shomrim, should humbly step down, and start a new page.
Rabbonim should be reelected first, and sholom al yisroel.

and then the Vaad Hakahal elections.
and the Vaad should/would be a respected group, including an older and younger ‘chosuver’ group which all will admire, running for these important positions.
maybe the rabonim and anash who care should push the real people to run for elections..

Get rid of everyone: the Rabbonim. the Vaad & its corrupt criminal entities & the Mendel Hendels of this community. Let the average guy have a say.

We need honesty, not personal agendas!

Are you crazy?? since rubashkin? there is nobody that did good for the community except rubashkin!! he is the only one who cares and gives for this community!! he made achdus at simchas beish ahsheivah – the purim seudah – the womens nights out – camp fund and much much more. but a few in the community who just want power fight fight and fight!! these people need to fet a life

whan rabbi osdoba was with rabbi marlow they worked together even if they disagreed there was respect for each other

now look who broke all that

hashem yiracheim on us all

I just love it!
May 20, 2009 3:12 pm

I just love how everyone says: Since Schwei came, the fights started… bla bla bla…
How about: Since Rubashkin came, all this turmoil started…

to all of u who think rabbi osadaba is right
May 20, 2009 2:47 pm

The rebbe says clearly that the rabbonim should have nothing to do with these elections. yes the problem with rabbonim must be resolved but its got nothing to with this. as for kicking others out with all due respect how long can these ppl be there for ???? is this a dictatorship? its already a year and a half since they are supposed to be out!

Rabbi schevi as a person is a great person, but the fact is that until he came in the machlokos was no place near where it was today, it all started when they had a election where only HE was allowed to run, in order to give him power over everyone else, and that is the reason he will not let any new rabbonim be elected as he is scared of having a third rov so in case it might be 2 againts 1. this is against halacha what bes din in the world has only 2 rabbonim?? for this… Read more »

Baruch HaShem for Rav Osdoba
May 20, 2009 2:10 pm

Baruch HaShem for Rav Osdoba!! When there was a picture put up of the Rebbe in 770, he and Rav Marlow A”H said it was OK. Yet, Rav Heller did not know of their position and made a public protest against. BOTH Rabbonim conceded to him, because they RESPECTED each other!!! This is OPPOSITE of what R’ Shvei (and Kraus) have done to our community. R’ Shvei is a nice, good man. But he has let these Baal Machlokes take advantage. They play on people’s Yiras Shomayim, always portraying a “frummer-than-before” attitude which is NOT based on any sound halacha,… Read more »

Its funny that you choose this type of argument. ask anyone who knows Rabbi Shwey well – from way back – they will tell you that he has a SOLID head and very very learned. go get a job, or better start learning alittle

When will we open our eyes
May 20, 2009 2:00 pm

This Mendel Hendel is a gangster and just loves himself so that he will do anything for his own kavod. What do you people see in a little rat like him? Get rid of him and we are on the road to peace.

I'm not a fan of either but...
May 20, 2009 2:00 pm

Iit seems reasonable that Osdoba says we can’thave an election till the issue with Schwei is resolved. Let’s look at Schwei’s accomplishments. He threw out M. Gerlitzky from the Gabbaim! He threw out Rubashkin, Lang and Plotkin from the Vaad and all the Netzigim from being Netzigim! He doesn’t recognise The Rabbonim Rabbis Raitport, Sega and Zirkind. what is their Aveira?! They don’t dance to his tune they are not willing to be is puppets! Quite an accomplishment wouldn’t you say!

May 20, 2009 1:37 pm

The proof is in the facts. Fact is since R’ Schwei came in there has only been an increase in Machloikes in the community on the same side of the issues. People say it is the people around him. I have heard from people involved that tried to make peace that R’ Schwei is rodeph achar hakovod in the craziest way. He is totally inflexible on any issue. He came in to the Bes Din 17 years after R’ Osdoba and you would think he would understand to give some room so that this would work! But no! He demanded… Read more »

May 20, 2009 1:11 pm

Judge Jacobson signed the Temporary Restraining Order which temporally stops elections after a heated hearing today. She adjourned the case to June 3rd when it will be heard before J. Ambrosio. Eli Polterak may put in papers to speed up this date. The Community Counsel’s Lawyers (although there is an issue who they really represent) say they are enforcing an arbitration awarded by Crown Heights Bais Din which called people come to them due to a dispute within the CHJCC. They claim that according to the bylaws, all disputes must be settled in the Bais Din. Therefore all participants in… Read more »

Rabbi Schwei?
May 20, 2009 12:38 pm

to resident,

Why is it that you blame your mess on a pious person as rabbi Svhwei. Is he to blame for your problems. Look yourself in the mirror and instead of blaming the rov, why dion’t you pierce into your own eyes and realize that it’s not going to get you very far blaming others for your problems, especially not a venerable rightous man as rav Schwei, whom I can attest to you has no concern for this dirty politics, but rather is commited to the halachos and other aspect that people in this community turn to him for.

wow, this is crazy!!!

From a previous post on the topic: “Shomrim v Shmira; Rabbi Schwei v. Rabbi Osdoba; Aguch v the wackos in 770…the list is amazing.” You forgot to add the latest C.H battle: Rabbi Gancz vs. women (or is it tznius)…and all those complaining -go live elsewhere…really is this what your kids need as an example… it ain’t worth the sacrifice..
