My heart goes out to the sweet family. The pain is just too much to bare. Ariel was one of a kind. His enthusiasm for kedusha was infinite. may hashem bring an end to this madness with the coming of moshiach now.

Ariel was an ish Emes. I rememebr when he would come to our house in New York, he was our very very religious cousin from Los Angeles and would ask me , so what mitzvah are we taking on today!? I would look at him and question myself quietly , that thought never really crossed my mind … until I blurted out … I’m going to start saying Baruch HaShem when you ask me how I am. His face lit up with joy! That was ariel. He pushed you to live the Torah way, Torah language. His whole life was… Read more »

We will never know. just about a month ago he was visiting a friend, I was waiting near there, didn’t even know him, yet he smiled at me and struck up a conversation, in a friendly and warm way that left me in a good mood. I thought to myslef, what a nice person! Then i forgot about it until I heard the terrible news. Really really crazy- and if i’m feeling like this I cant even imagine how his family must be feeling. January 28, 2015 5:03 pm

Ariel Rav-Noy was a friend and a high-school classmate. Every time we saw one another, we engaged in a variety of deep and entertaining conversations. But, thats not important. What is, is that he was a deeply decent person. A caring, kind, gentle and beautiful human. His untimely death will never be understood, and 7 children are left orphans today. It isn’t even something we can ever understand, rather, we simply mourn because a young man was taken from this world without any apparent reason and children are left fatherless without explanation. The Rambam states that it cannot be said… Read more »

January 28, 2015 4:41 pm

I got to know R’ Rav-Noy through FB otherwise I would not have. We’re of 2 different age groups and crowds and yet through FB we’ve become friends. He appreciated and supported my comments and we talke things through. Although I never met him in person I’m literally taking this personally. I can’t believe it and am in shock. I can only hope Lubavitch and we shluchim in particular wake up. If there’s any sort of legacy we can attribute to Ariel it’s the hope that his death won’t be in vain. I hope this starts a revolution of ahavas… Read more »
