And the madness continues.
Passersby on Kingston Avenue on Thursday were witness to a police chase after a violent thug that concluded in the heart of Crown Heights.
A law-enforcement source said the man was carrying a bat used to assault a person on St. John’s Place and Kingston Avenue.
The thug ran with police following suit and was finally stopped in front of Kahn’s Superette, by nearby workers and the grocery store’s employee.
The person was arrested by the 77th Precinct, but residents were left concerned over the prevalent crimes that are happening quite often close to home.

Action people! I have noticed a trwnd. since the beginning of bloomberg crown heights has definitely seen a steady decline of police prescence. I remember in Giuliani’s day there were cops on every other corner of every block. criminals are noticing this and therefore acting on it. The bottom line is it is not safe for children and families and this is getting ridiculous. If we want something to change then we need to make our voices heard. Every store on Kingston Ave. should have a few baseball bats and cans of mace behind the counter for the employees to be able to grab and run out with if there is any problem going on outside on the street.
