On the path to evil.
The New York Police Department is closely reviewing surveillance footage which captured a gang of thugs a short while before they assaulted a Jewish woman in Crown Heights.
Captured by a security camera on the front door of a Jewish home on Crown Street, the group of 14 to 16 year-old males and females is seen strolling the streets on Friday afternoon.
At 2:45 PM they met a young Jewish woman walking west on Carroll Street, followed her to the front of 747 Crown Street, where they punched her from behind and hit her with what seemed to be a broomstick, according to eyewitnesses.
The victim suffered minor injuries, police said.
According to a person present, the Jewish woman “tried to take out her cellphone and they said: ‘If you do, we’re going to hurt you.’ They ran away and she went back home and called the police.”
Responding to the call was the NYPD duty captain, along with Assistant Chief Owen Monaghan – commanding officer of Patrol Borough Brooklyn South, and detectives of the Hate Crimes Task Force.
Thanks to a Jewish resident, the police are now in possession of the video showing the thugs heading to their target. “Video was recovered and is being enhanced by the NYPD,” we were told.
you’r good
to #32 h wont even argue with you
Cameras are important but you can’t always see their faces clearly so then how do you identify them?
How does one worship themselves? The answer to the other two questions is both no.
# 23 Are you thinking?
Who goes out walking alone at 1AM, 2AM etc.?
Are you willing to stay up all night? Who pays for it? If you must go out late at night, try to walk with another person and try to walk on well-lit streets, and perhaps, Jewish blocks, if possible.
Probably a teenager.
Say, I’m not coming after you with a baseball bat.
Do you believe in G-d? Does G-d control situations? Don’t worship idols: yourself, money, power, government, etc.
# 27 YOU don’t believe it…who are these ‘people?’ Be honest.
the reason the police showed up in such numbers is only because the victim is a relative of a community activist.
if this was a regular girl from our community there is no way that all these detectives and high ranking officers would of come to the crime scene. we need strong leadership to make sure the police patrol our shechuna!
# 21
Go spread the knowledge of ‘The 7 Noahide Laws’ and be a ‘shliach’ or ‘shelucha!’
Seriously…who is going to spend months on learning martial arts because of the chance you might be attacked? Perhaps it’s ‘bittle’ Torah?’ (Ask a ‘rav’) Probably better off giving the money to ‘tzedakah.’
People don’t believe that
Install cameras. (There are a few local crown heights companies that do that. i had a good experience with Mizuri Systems.)
is this a gang initiation issue? These lost individuals must be caught on surveillance cameras, we all must get them, can the CHts Community council get them subsidized?
Well, sad…sad. ‘Refuah Shelaima.’ ‘Todah’ to NYCPD. Want to reduce the occurrence of these problems? Simply follow my lead. I’ve spoken to more Afro-Americans in Crown Heights than (almost) anybody else. I spread the knowledge of ‘The 7 Noahide Laws’ (almost) every day. Just today, in the morning, I gave out three sheets. Sheets? Yes. These ‘sheets’ include the Aleph Beit from our ‘siddurim’ with a few web sites listed on top, plus my email. I have a unique approach…that can be YOURS as well! I’ve had wonderful results, and have spoken to about 250-400 people in the past 3… Read more »
we need 24/7 surveilance!! what are crown heights community leaders waiting for??????
THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE FOR US!
go learn karate
i hope those thugs get caught but from the pictures i recognize those pictures as crown & schenectady (you can even see the back of reim ahuvim in some of the pictures)& 747 crown is by utica.it looks to me more like 707 crown or something like that.it,s definitely crown & schenectady which is not 747.

Catching criminals is not the problem. they need to be punished harshly. If they just come down to the station and get sent home with a warning (as is common) the say hello to many more such incidents. and increasing levels of crime.
Go to the public school were they are being baby sat and pick them up
PREVENTION should be foremost !!!! PREVENTION! and punishment, CONSEQUENCES for ones behavior !!!
Cameras. Pictures. Cops. There will be no arrest. And if yes, they’re minors and out the door. Yes, you should see that they’re arrested, but unfortunately that won’t stop a group of disrespectful, violent, poorly raised kids from doing it again. Unfortunately a torture session would be more effective. Or a lengthy discussion asking how they’d feel if their mother was accosted as they did.
A camera is an optical instrument that records images that can be stored directly, transmitted to another location, or both. Cameras are not stopping the action taking place in that moment.
I agree with #5 we need more patrols. And to #10, I rather donate to a mikvah instead.
And it won’t happen by itself. Come on Crown heights, be proactive.
Talk to the CHJCC!! Where is the money?
2:45 is still school hours which means they go to one of the local schools…getting in touch with them is very important! to at least make them raise awareness to the fact that no one is standing by while these things happen. plus anything that happens an hour before or after school is often handled in coordination with school anyway.
If they know there are cameras they will be scared to act out!
Of course we also need better protection!
i would donate for the cameras before the mikvah
ps the cameras need to be watched 24 hr
Can someone explain why our streets in Crown Heights are so poorly lit at night?
Why don’t we install lights on the front of every home like they do in the suburbs?
The street lights are insufficient and people hide in the shadows.
Every alley between houses should have motion sensor lights and back alleys too.
The chjcc gets 14mil a year I think they can afford it
Why? What will it do? Entertain on YouTube ? Let me tell u these scum animals are going free si vi sie
Would you sponsor it?
BS”D
what good are cameras, they merely help catch the animals- we need more POLICE and ones who are not afraid of these animals in order to prevent such incidents so that there is nothing to catch on a camera
Lets be careful to differentiate between privately owned camera’s and one’s placed by the GOV. Privately owned such as those that showed the real story at Aliyah and in this case are of great assistance. I am less convinced about those controlled by the government.
we need more homes with cameras.
BS”D
coward animals
every corner should have 4 cameras, and people watching it 24/7
