to #21 and others - minimum wage
October 10, 2013 7:09 pm

and TSA is also minimum wage paying which is why TSA guys stole from El Al. Maybe time to recognize that a mashgiach has to be a serious yiras shamoyim and not some yuckel, probably over 40 with a family and trained properly in kashrus so so yes more than minimum wage – I suppose you’ll argue teachers should also get minimum wage… and shochtim… and mohelim… etc.

In Turkey, they aren’t allowed to publicize themselves if they’re not part of the “official” government established Jewish community. So it’s possible this guy had no idea.
It’s also possible that since his father was secular, he didn’t know how to go about things and seeing a frum Jew put it into his head.

The contact details for shluchim are usually public knowledge – listed in the local phone book, etc. A terrorist would have no reason to have to ask for it.

it is a great feeling
