We must take the time to share memories of our role models, and inspire as many people as can be reached to emulate these special chassidim. Thank You R’ Duchman for writing this article, and being a dugma chaya to so many youngsters of ‘living chassidishkeit’ in LA.

Rabbi Duchman is now continuing the legacy which so inspired him and Uncle Yossi’s great grandsons now benefit from this most amazing children’s minyan in LA every week. Its comforting to know where your inspiration began and that we can be part of this . What great nachas!

thank you reb Mendel for taking the time to write about my dear friend Shaya.

Every word you wrote is so true.

At the sloshim tonight someone ended his remarks by saying:
there is a piece of Shaya in everyone who knew him.

Yehay zichro boruch.

Than you!

Thank you R’ Mendel for your kind and warm words about our father “Uncle Yossi.” And thanks also for the kindness and Kavod you would show him when he would visit his Einiklach in LA for Shabbos and Davven in your shul.

May we all only have good news to share!

when you describe the virtues you see in these chasidim, you’ve inadvertently described your own commendable virtues!

R’ Mendel,
couldn’t of said it better (even though Im many, many years younger and did not live in those precious times) We cannot fathom how important it is nowadays to have chassidim, “Anshei Ma’asei”, of action, doing caring and being a dugmah chaya for others to follow.

there are no words that can beat mendel duchman who is a tzadik himself who is always there for everyone whether it is the kinderlach or some one who needs tzedakah. Reb shaya gansbourg was a very true and good hearted person and has left back a wonderful mishpacha. many children have and are still inpired from uncle yossi’s tapes. rabbi goldstein has left bach many grandchilren and great-grand children. may both families share only in many simchas.
