shemtov meets the important people always with a hat but more important then a tie for taste is haircut for mentchlichkeit
tie is not important
i agree they should smarten up but, its very hard for some people o shlichus who said they have enough spare money to pay 40 on a fancy shirt?
I live part-time in Greene County and I never saw or heard of Rabbi Itkin. Where does he live and what is he up to?
If you look at the others in the picture they are also informal. However the Rebbe always demanded that his shluchim should look and act as his personal shluchim. That means dressing appropriately at all time. Not necessarily a tie but a hat and suit or kappota and being well groomed.
Your mother-in-law
It all doesnt matter if your not wearing a HAT to represent the Rebbe!
listen if it was a black tie event it all sounds right, but it may have been something very laid back and leisure like, and if that’s the case maybe your all not very right. but then again i may be wrong, because you fellows are all representing the rebbe and all what goes along with it so it aint simple. Maybe another maamar chasidus will help clear it all.
wow ! ubelievable our very own shluchim
keep up the amazing work
stop the criticizing! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
if you are presenting yourselves as shluchim of the rebbe, wear your hat as a chossid of the rebbe does!
get a haircut put on a tie! look like a mench..you are representing the Rebbe..
Thanks so much for this
Couldn’t they wear ties, shirts that match their suits, get decent haircuts & look respectable? They represent the most high-profile Jewish group in the world & Shluchim need to look appropriate. The Rebbe was immaculate. Just as we try to emulate the Rebbe B’ruchnius, so too we should follow his example B’gashmius.
Why are Shluchim looking so Shlumpy when meeting important people? Put on a Tie! This isn’t 1414.
