Officials Bring Holiday Greetings

A slew of elected officials celebrated Sukkos with heads of the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council and offered holiday greetings.

Chanina Sperlin, Vice President for Intergovernmental Affairs for the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council (CHJCC) once again hosted a slew of elected officials in his sukkah in the backyard of his home.

CHJCC Chairman Zaki Tamir and members Fischel Brownstein and Yossi Hackner were on hand to meet and greet those who attended, to help further understand the Jewish neighborhood's needs and concerns.

Rabbi Eli Cohen, Director of CHJCC, welcomed the guests and briefly spoke about the uniting theme of the Sukkos holiday and about prayers the Jewish people recite for the nations of the world.

The officials, on their part, offered kind greetings. Among them were:

U.S. Congresswoman - Yvette Clarke (who came with her community liaison Eli Slavin)
New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli
New York State Senator - Eric Adams
New York State Assembly - Karim Camara
New York City Comptroller - John Liu
New York City Council - Letitia James
New York City Council - Dr. Mathieu Eugene
NYPD Brooklyn South Chief - Thomas Chan
NYPD 71st Pct Commanding Officer - Capt. Peter Simonetti

does this mean that after 5 months someone will finaly do something about finishing the black top on kingston, so we dont get flats etc.

i know these pictures are great but maybe we should get some action out of it.
