This video clip was taken on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Bais Medrash synagogue in the Maimonides Hebrew Academy in Los Angeles, California, a month after the opening of their new building.
The occasion was a Bar Mitzvah in the Berkowitz family and the room was packed with friends and family members. To honor their son, the family has dedicated a new Sefer Torah.
The highlight of the ceremony was to sound a shofar, but when they attempted to do so in front of the many guests, something went wrong.
