Hundreds of Shluchos gathered Thursday at the Shluchim Office in Crown Heights for an evening of inspiration, guidance and enrichment during the International Kinus Hashluchos.
Each year, the Shluchim Office hosts a Grand Farbrengen for Shluchos. It is a time to get inspired, reconnect with friends and colleagues and create new frienships.
The Shluchim Office brings in speakers to lead the Farbrengens but in truth each Shlucha contributes so much that it is a joint effort. This year on Sunday night the Shluchos returned to The Shluchim Office for an impromptu Farbrengen continuation.
This year featured four separate farbrengens, with a larger venue provided by Oholei Torah for the growing Hebrew-speaking crowd. The Farbrengen in Oholei Torah was lead by Mrs. Rochel Levertov and some 250 Hebrew-speaking Shluchos attended.
Back in the Shluchim Office, there were three different Farbrengens taking place. Mrs. Tammy Chayempour of Great Neck spoke about her personal encounters with the Rebbe and Rebbetzin.
There was a beautiful Mother and Daughter panel lead by three Shluchos and their daughters discussing – ‘ Raising children on Shlichus’. It was inspiring hearing both perspectives of being raised on Shlichus and from a parenting perspective.
Renowned author and speaker Rabbi Shais Taub lead the final Farbrengen. Rabbi Taub answered questions on the topic of ” Bringing the soul back to Shlichus amongst all the professionalism.” Shluchos sent in questions beforehand and were also able to ask during the evening.
Both venues enjoyed a delightful assortment of desserts and refreshments. Free babysitting was offered on-site and shuttle vans provided easy transport home.
Shluchos at The Shluchim Office had the opportunity to browse our display showcase of Purim and Pesach store items in between farbrengens to get a hands-on idea of what they could do for the upcoming season.
Every participant was entered into a raffle for wonderful prizes including free registration for the Young Shluchim Winter Camp and Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim, a 3-night stay in the Pomegranate Suites and more.
A Shlucha emailed us her thanks saying “Thank you very much for hosting the farbrengen yearly, its really a Farbrengen we all look forward to. The coziness, the speakers, the wonderful midnight snacks and ambiance are always great.”
Special sponsorship for these Farbrengens was provided by Rabbi Sholom Deitsch. The Shluchim Office would like to thank Rabbi Deitsch, the event planner Mrs. Tzipporah Hahn for the elegant food and setup and all of the dedicated staff in the office for making this years Farbrengens such a great success.
Amazing work, Shluchim Office!! Keep it up!
