The Shluchim Office will be launching its third annual community fundraiser tomorrow – Tuesday, starting at 11:00AM ET.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe called for the founding of a central institution to support Shluchim in 5747 (1987), a revolutionary idea at the time. Since then, The Shluchim Office has established a thirty-year history of impactful projects and was the impetus behind the founding of many more institutions that today offer assistance to Shluchim.
This year alone, The Shluchim Office has helped Shluchim and their families thousands of times, through Networking, Hospitality in Crown Heights, The Nigri Shluchim Online School, the Shluchim Gemach, CYH – Connecting Young Shluchim, Friendship Circle International, and many other flagship programs.
The Shluchim Office also serves as a home-away-from-home for Shluchim visiting New York, providing a lounge facility offering workspace, refreshment and relaxation when a Shliach visits New York, and the Pomegranate Suites for lodging while they visit.
All funds raised during the campaign will be dedicated towards the swift and speedy Refuah Shleima of the director of The Shluchim Office, Rabbi Gedalya ben Bat-Sheva Shemtov.
Stepping in to run the campaign in his stead and during his absence is an Interim Emergency Vaad comprised of forty-plus Askonim and Shluchim, friends of The Shluchim Office who are named below.
Join the campaign tomorrow at TogetherForShluchim.com.
