U.S. Congressman Ron Klein, a Democrat from Florida, has met 3 Chabad Shluchim to discuss the injustice to Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin.
Monday’s meeting was attended by Boca Raton Shluchim Rabbis Zalman Bukiet, Moshe Denburg and Ruvi New.
According to reports from the meeting, Rep. Klein was extremely responsive and pledged to push for a bi-partisan meeting with Attorney General Eric Holder to review the case.
Holder in the past has refused to get involved in the case which many see as a witchhunt against the former kosher meat executive from Iowa. Judge Linda Reade sentenced Rubashkin to 27 years in prison for bank fraud and related charges, although prosecutors had sought a 25-year prison term.
Two weeks ago, Congressman Gary Peters of Michigan met with West Bloomfield Shliach Rabbi Elimelech Silberberg to discuss the case.
While New York Congressman Anthony Weiner said in a recent speech to Agudath Israel he was “extremely troubled and concerned with the injustice going on.”

I too called him 2years ago for the Rubashkins and had the same story s number 11 exactly
Ditto number 11 i had the same story with ron klien at the time one of the Rubashkins asked me to call and i had the same story he didnt returnmycalls till i talked about pulling our votes and then he listene ad apologized!!!!! sae exact story and i kowof mycolleague aother shliach same thing happened just another politician

The same holds true for wiener in New York, it was these liberal crusaders that brought this blood libel on us. Though i commend the shluchim for meeting with him you may not know that almost 3 years ago when the rubashkin fiasco started just after the rest ron klien along with a dozen others signed a letter codemming rubashkin for having underage workers and harassing workers and a bunch of other lies. I’m from Chicago, but I’ve been forwarded a video of West. The man is i great guy, and I would vote for him any day had I lived in his district. He’s like a polished version of Allen Keyes and a war hero as well.
Allen West would do more for Rubashkin and other jewish causes then any self hating jew would do. get rid of him!
