Camp is not a new adventure for Rabbi Mendy and Tzippy Weiss.
Growing up, both have experienced being Counselors and Head Counselors in Day Camps and Overnight Camps around the world.
They were Assistant Directors in Pardes Chana and in Camp Chomeish for several years.
To this day, they run Camp Gan Israel Miami, one of the most popular growing camps in all of South Florida, world-renowned for being as close as you can get to an overnight camp experience in a day camp.
This year, due to Coronavirus restrictions, they are running day camp for only 5 weeks as opposed to 7.
This left a few weeks to either relax or step up to the plate and provide something for girls whose plans fell through this summer.
Tzippy Weiss says she has been wanting to do a Teen Camp like this for many years, where each summer a small group of girls experiences a new state within the USA.
“Our beautiful country has so much to offer and now is the perfect time to ‘travel within,'” Tzippy says.
The camp is 3 weeks, for girls entering 9th grade through 11th grade who are up for new adventures.
Yes. It is expensive. But so are the costs involved.
The Staff will be Chassidish, fun, inspiring and the activities (most which will on grounds) will be exciting, innovative and most of all, safe.
Social distancing will be adhered to while off Campgrounds.
Overall this will be a great 3 week for 25 lucky girls who get this opportunity. Only a few spots remain.
