Tyra Banks will be hosting a guest Lubavitcher Shlucha on her popular talk show on TV next week, COLlive has learned.
Faya Lipskier, co-director of Chabad of the West 60’s in Manhattan, was prerecorded for the show in the Chelsea Studios in New York City a few weeks ago.
While the show covers a variety of topics, there is a focus on current issues facing women.
The show is aired in many countries, and is also available on XM Satellite Radio’s Take Five channel in both the United States and Canada.
Lipskier, a daughter of the West Side Rabbi Shlomo Kugel, was invited to speak about family purity issues, otherwise known as Taharas Hamishpacha.
Their conversation will be airing on September 9.
Speaking to COLlive, Lipskier confirmed she will be appearing on the show but did not elaborate due to a confidentiality agreement with the production.
were can we watch the show?
She is a real person, I know her
LOL THATS PROBABLY TRUE!!!!!!!!! hahahah
…that this Mrs Sulante is a real person.
While I did not speak with Rebbetzin Lipskier’s mashpia, and don’t really have a comment on whether her appearance is appropriate or not, I have to applaud Mrs. Sulante for showing the moral courage to publicly admit when she is persuaded by posts and changes her mind.
I think regardless of the issue, this kind of integrity is often lacking on internet comment pages, and should be applauded!
Nice to see someone have the courage to change their mind about something and admit it. Yasher Koach,
thank you for bringing another jew alittle closer in understanding what is like to be a jewish women ithe world today
marmol
After hearing all the heartfelt feedback… i am begining to see this whole thing in a different light. I appreciate the time you all took to set me straight!
And as I’ve come to learn that Mrs Lipskier thought long and hard before she decided to air on the show.
May the Rebbe truly have lots of Nachas from this courageous Shlucha

i totaly agree with ms sulante!
i think if we had more people like that in lubavitch it would be great.
miss sulante, i think you should start speaking in public maybe you should start in crown heights itself!!
thank you from the bottom of my heart for that comment!!
this is a brilliant way to spread yiddishkeit around the world.thank you #11 !
OMG!!!!!!!!! I LOOOVE THE TYRA SHOW!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!
who the heck are you to decide what is and what is not an act of pritzus……. jeez no wonder lubavitch is so screwed up we have these ms sulantes with their head buried in the dirt deciding whats appropriate and whats not… get a life
or are they affecting us, our standards of tznieus, our behavior.
Its a strong test.
but, I’m sure Faya will be the one making the positve affect.
Without having to watch the show, I have to say that positive discussion will have far more of an impact on non-frum women than angry vitriol. You catch more bees with honey than with vinegar. You may want to think how you come across. I don’t understand why you are so angry.
Without commenting on the particular situation (as I am not one to judge the Rebbe’s shita on this – and I’m sure the shlucha had spoken with her Mashpia) — There’s a beautiful story with the Rebbe, which is in line with #11: The Rebbe once encouraged haRav Chaim Gutnick z”l from Australia to create seminars and courses especially geared for Jewish women and women’s issues. He put a lot of work into it, prepared excellent materials, but was disappointed when only one woman showed up. He taught that course, but didn’t attempt it again. A year later he was… Read more »
What happened to the mandate “Go and be a light to the nations”? If we are hiding out in C.H bashing anothers good works, exactly how will they see our light? or how is that fulfilling our mission?
Maybe everyone and I dare to say most are not suited nor qualified for this type of work, never the less it has to be done!
It is shameful of those making negative, judgemental comments, you need to look at yourself , chill and repent!
may it encourage more exciting jewish reps to be on these shows
This sounds like a great idea, but I think going on Oprah would be a better choice (prob. cant get in) I think the audience for trya banks is not the proper crowd for this kind of education.
That is the problem with Lubavitch today… we don’t know where to stop. I highly doubt that ANYONE will be closer to keeping the laws of familly purity because oof this act of pritzus!
Shifra Chana Sulante
Why is it a busha. I remeber when the Rebbe’sweekday farbrengens were on TV. If her talk affects even one lady to keep tahras hamispocha or to keep shabbos, light candles, etc it is worth it. The Rebbe always said that we should use modern technology to spread yiddishkeit to othe Jews.
go faya!!!!!!!!!!
This totally not appropriate for a Lubavitcher Shlucha!
