A Shloshim gathering to mark 30 days since the untimely passing of Mrs. Judith Cohen OBM was held this week at Heichal Menachem in Golders Green, London.
Mrs. Cohen was a long-time beloved teacher of young children in Toronto, Ontario, and later in London.
At the event in her memory, her husband Rabbi Naftali Cohen concluded the Mishnayos and her son Mendy Cohen said Kaddish.
Rabbi Shlomo Klor of the Torah Vodaas School, where the late Mrs. Cohen taught, addressed the crowd and spoke about her devotion to educating Jewish children.
we miss you aunty judy…..we need moshiach NOW!
She was a true yiras shomayim and a good hearted person, never to offend anyone and no falshkiet at all.
Knowing her for close to fifty years, I don’t remember anything negative coming out of her mouth.
May she be a meilitz yosher for her children, her family and klal yisroel, we will miss her terribly.
We want Moshiach Now!
The last line in your comment says more about you than anyone else. You’re right, I am sure Judy would never write something like that.
in the exciting heyday of Kabolas Pnei Moshiach, Mrs. Cohen brought together all of the nashim and daughters etc… and was a true leader and was a guiding light of assurance to all of them that Moshiach was truly imminent and she meant it and may it be the will of Hashem that she and all loved ones come back to us with tchias HaMeisim – around the corner.
Knowing her well I agree with what you say, except I am not sure that you needed to add the last line.
In times like these we need a little more Ahavas Yisroel and a little less Loshon Hora.
i have only fond memories her.may the family only know of simchas
Judith was a friendly, happy woman. I know her from Stamford Hill over 30 years ago. although i didnot see her that often, if i saw her at a simcha she was always friendly and talkative, not like some other North london/North West London Lubavitch women!!
