With sadness we inform you of the untimely passing of Shlomo Kantrowitz of New Haven on Tuesday, 7 Elul, 5773.
He was 54.
Shlomo learned in Morristown, NJ, 770 and Kollel.
He was a dedicated askan and member of the New Haven, CT community.
The funeral will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, August 14, at 11 AM in Brocket Place cemetery in East Haven.

He was a wonderful, kind, gentle man.

I’ve known him since I was a child. He was a real mensch. A terrible loss and a wake up call that golus must end! Does anyone know the cause of his passing?
Such sad news. I rememember his smile and friendly attitude towards everyone.
So sad to hear. I remember him from the 70’s in Morristown, where I was then an instructor.

We were in same gemara class with Fitzi Lipskier a”h in the early 80’s in Morristown. Like people said, he was always smiling and jovial.

He lived in Crown hts shortly and then moved to London for a while. He was “Scotty” to his friends then, sweet guy, always smiling and upbeat

Very shocking sad news in New Haven. He always had a smile on his face, always asked what was new with me. He will be missed.
There was a bachur by the last name of Kantor (not sure of his first name), who was from England. I knew Shlomo, A”H, as a Brooklynite.
