Gr8 article !!! may all prisons allow real Chanukah candles instead of the electric 1z I mean come on city state federal prisons its Chanukah give these men & ladies a chance 2 b who they r, a yid. If it wasn’t 4 the Rebbe there would b no shofar, lulav etrog, chanukah, Purim matzos & wine 4 Pesach. Lubavitch is the only 1 that will do it, if we left it up 2 other sects it wouldn’t happen. Why do you have to be so cynical. It helps these prisoners reform when they are encouraged by the message of hope conveyed through the menorah. Do you want to have depressed ex-prisoners on your streets or would you rather have Baal Teshuvahs? Umm…

The bottom line is this is a jail,, it’s not the Ritz Carlton. If people were that concerned about it, then they should think about committing the crimes and then have to spend the time in jail.
