Head of Lubavitch Manchester and the town’s longest-serving rabbi, Rabbi Avrohom Jaffe, had a lot to celebrate on his 80th birthday.
Lubavitch Manchester held a successful Charidy fundraising campaign on Sunday, 18th April.
The aim was to raise £100,000, and they not only reached the goal, but even surpassed the bonus goal of £120,000.
There was a dedicated group of hard-working supporters, led by Chabad shliach to “Young Lubavitch”, Rabbi Shmuli Lent, “without whom the campaign would not have happened,” organizers said.
Lubavitch Manchester has been dedicated to serving the Manchester Community since 1964. There are very few individuals who have not taken advantage of the many services they offer. Summer Day Camp, youth clubs, the 3 minyonim – including a boys minyan, shiurim, mikvah, keili mikvah, Chanukah programs, and bookshop to name just a few.
As the renovations to the building are at the final stages, they are ready to move forward. They are opening their doors to the whole community. They have plans for all sections of the community and all ages, with exciting new programs and initiatives.
Keep going Manchester!!!! Only getting better
Wishing 62 many more years of continued growth and hatzlachah under the wise and capable leadership of rabbi jaffe, a true light to the world!
Daddy, Rifka, Max we’re getting there!
