So many feel the pain of the singles in their lives and yet wonder, what can I really do to help?
The Shidduch House is introducing Focus Groups to meet at the Shidduch House regularly to make a real difference.
The groups will be led by our “in house” Shadchanim and will be very focused. Profiles will be presented by the Shadchanim and shared with the people in attendance. Those who come will also have the opportunity, if they choose, to share profiles of people that they would like to match up. Once all the information is shared, the shadchanim and attendees will have a chance to mingle and come up with suggestions for those singles presented at the meeting.
An added incentive for all those involved will be a monetary bonus for the Shadchan and the person who suggested the name, if the couple ends up on a date. Generous sponsors have stepped forward to reward the great efforts made on behalf of the hardworking Shadchanim as well as those that give of their time to come and share names. Both will be awarded $100 if their suggestions are accepted and result in a meeting. Although it would be exceptional if the match resulted in a Chuppah, the goal is to encourage everyone to get involved, to be proactive and network on behalf of our singles.
This is a practical and easy way to do something concrete about it, an opportunity for your suggestions to be heard and acted upon, an invitation to come share about the singles in your life or anyone you know and care about. We’re not just talking, we’re doing! Hamaseh Hu Haikar. This is a forum set up for success, we just need you to show up and be a part of something real on behalf of our singles.
With the ratio of Shadchanim to singles being highly disproportionate, everyone needs to get on board and be an advocate for a single that they know. You don’t have to be an official Shadchan to make a shidduch. Building Jewish homes is everybody’s business.

If we can have a group focused on second timer I think that would be beneficial. Particularly sensitive shadchans that don’t just push anyone

Do people really need to be bribed to try make shidduchim? I’m always trying to think of ideas for my freinds and family and I don’t feel like I need altera motives except for seeing them happy. Just trying to understand all this offering people money to make suggestions as if I have the idea but wouldn’t suggest unless you pay me? I don’t understand it

The Shiddush house has a touch of mystery to it, at least to me. What is this house exactly? I read the website, but still not clear to me.
