Back to Basics, a series of books which provides the English-speaking Chabad community with the opportunity to learn and live with the sichos of the Rebbe in an engaging and creative manner, has announced the release of its next edition, Sefer Bamidbar.
The fourth in the series, Sefer Bamidbar has been generously dedicated by Dovid and Chana Junik and family in honor of their father Reb Berel Junik, whose eleventh Yartzeit is today, Tes Iyar.
“My father was very close to the Rebbe. Throughout his entire life he lived and breathed his connection to the Rebbe,” Dovid Junik says. “The Rebbe’s Sichos were very important and dear to him. After all, they contain the Rebbe’s directives on how we should think and operate our lives, and offer us a way to connect to the Rebbe,” he says.
“Therefore, when I first saw this project being developed, I was very excited. This Sefer, in a revolutionary way, allows children, teenagers and adults to learn the Sichos simply and in their original language even though they have not yet mastered Yiddish. Eventually, they will be able to graduate from this series and learn directly from Likkutei Sichos,” says Junik.
The well-researched content and elegant, clean design, make for an efficient volume that allows the modern English reader to learn and understand the Sichos of the Rebbe in their original form, while developing the skills needed to forgo the crutch of assisted learning products and learn a sicha independently.
In the words of Rabbi Henoch Rosenfeld, Assistant Principal of Yeshiva High School of Pittsburgh, “Back to Basics has been a tremendous asset to our curriculum. Our students have been equipped with independence in their learning, and have learned many new skills. We look forward to continuing to use Back to Basics in future years.”
Back to Basics has also announced the launch of “B2B Camp Edition,” availing their enviable curriculum to camps in customizable, booklet form.
