With the planned opening of three new kosher independent supermarkets, Seasons is planning to become the first national kosher supermarket chain.
This is according to Paul Ruitenberg, Director of Ruitenberg Lind Design Group (RLDG), who plans, designs and fabricates Seasons stores.
The new stores are planned for Scarsdale (New York), Baltimore (Maryland) and Cleveland, Ohio, expanding from the company’s established marketplace in New York and New Jersey.
Seasons was founded in 2010, following such well-known upscale independents as Pomegranate in Brooklyn. Seasons was part of the rapid expansion of the independents in the last decade that also included Gourmet Glatt and Evergreen.
The company operates two stores in Lawrence, including a Seasons Express that is open 24 hours a day. Other stores are in Lakewood NJ, Manhattan, Kew Garden Hills, and Clifton NJ, is the largest of the stores with approximately 35,000 square feet.
Meyer Gold, founder and CEO of Seasons, said his stores not only serve people who observe kosher, but also other shoppers who covet the kosher products and the beautiful store design.
Kosher food sources say that the multiple sources offers the chain much better purchasing power and the ability to discount many items.

Have you ever gone shopping anywhere outside CH??
I have plenty of experience shopping in Boro park and monsey. CH is overpriced BIG TIME
you have empire kosher that serves so many and prices are just fine.
For a few pesos more you can shop in more luxury at the marketplace.
Without fail the complainers will ALWAYS complain about CH this and CH that, fails to surprise me. But if you want to run somewhere else just remember the gas costs money as does time, yes time is money, unless you have nothing to do and alas, I get the complaining!
Florida does deserve something like a Seasons. I bet they are considering this. Great idea.
Looking forward to the opening of Seasons in Baltimore.
The prices in S Florida are astronomical. Especially in Boca and especially before pesach when they price gouge. Do come to here at once.
The answer is simple…. there’s a monopoly, so prices are kept high.
We in Minnesota need a store like this.
Not cheap labor. Hire Jews and give them good wages and benefits. Kosher food doesn’t have to mean cheap labor .
Prices and service is horrendous in South Florida.
The market is Hugeee here .
The right supermarket will surely make big
Can we please get an affordable store here in Crown Heights?
Why do we have to shlep outside the neighborhood to get decent prices. locally the prices are 25-30% higher on weekly comparison.
Thank you
Long island shluchim who shop in kew garden hills Seasons. They take email orders, deliver best service
We desperately need large kosher stores! The current options are a joke for the size of the Jewish community out here.
when oh when will we get something like this in south florida! seasons, come!
small Jewish communities and even isolated individuals who might really want to keep kosher. Should help make it easier to do hopefully. I know Schluchim already have been doing this but perhaps it will become a greater possibility for even more Jews, Baruch Hashem!
