For the second year, a group of kids from Sderot, Israel, came to Denmark to take part in a summer camp.
Hosted by Chabad of Denmark with Rabbi Yitzi and Rochel Lowenthal, and sponsored by friends and supporters of ChabaDenmark, the children participated in the Gan Israel overnight camp of Denmark.
From the Israeli side, the group was arranged by Chabad of Sderot headed by Rabbi Pizam. The children then traveled to Denmark, where, together with local Danish children, were able to make new friends, and experience activities and trips.
Towards the end of their stay, they met with the Israeli ambassador to Denmark, who was full of praises for Chabad, and words of encouragement for the children.
The highly dedicated counselors, E. Shemtov, R. Spangenthal, H. Chazanow, and D. Schildkrout, assured that the children’s stay was a wonderfully positive experience, in both the material and spiritual sense.
The overnight camp is then followed by a day camp.
