This program looks amazing, and I do not wish to CV criticize it in any way. But I’m a bit confused regarding the circumstances that led for such a need. How many transition years do our children need? Wasn’t seminary supposed to be that magical ‘transition’ year? I’m happy michlelet chana is filling a void. But why aren’t girls holding onto their values? Isn’t that the point of values? No doubt, everyone is going to fall when they leave their ‘cocoon’. The circumstances that led to this need are the ever-growing Shidduch crisis. It used to be that shortly after finishing two years of seminary, girls were getting married. Nowadays, unfortunately, shidduchim are not happening so quickly, and most girls spend many years after seminary single, alone, and without the proper structure provided by marriage and family life.
