Shluchim from the Scandinavian countries gathered this weekend in Stockholm, Sweden for a regional Kinus, which has become a tradition in the last 3 years.
The guest of honor for the kinus was Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, the vice chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch.

Rabbi Yacov Yisroel Zuber personally made all the arrangements for the Frierdike Rebbe to fly to STOCKHOLM where he stayed for three days in Grand Hotel, one of the most prestigous hotels in Stockholm even today. He stayed with his entire entourage, wife, mother, Rabbi Gurary with wife and son and his secretary, They were in a beautiful suite of rooms, with a view across the water to the Royal Palace. In 1932 Rabbi Yacov Yisroel Zuber arrived in Stockholm Sweden as the First Lubavitch Shliach in Scandinavia. The frierdike Rebbe sent him there from Riga, Latvia. He was an experienced Shliach who had held a position in Satchere, Gruzia-Georgia, for five years. While Hitler was destroying nearly all of Europe, Rabbi Zuber was fortunate to live in a neutral country that never entered the war.
