The nightly Simchas Beis Hashoeva on 13th Avenue in Boro Park, organized by Shliach Rabbi Aron Ginsburg, is receiving a boost from an unexpected source: Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin.
“My father has encouraged us to strengthen our Bitachon and to not allow the recent developments to weaken it in any way, nor to allow these developments to detract from our Simchas Yom Tov,” said his son Getzel Rubashkin.
“To the contrary, in the merit of our Bitachon and Simcha Hashem will surely answer our Tfilos,” he wrote, referring to the U.S. Supreme Court rejecting a request to review the contested Rubashkin Case.
His said his father, who is serving his 27-year sentence at a New York state facility, has asked his supporters and the public to attend the celebration Thursday night “to express our Achdus, Bitachon and Simcha.”
The celebration will begin 8:00pm and continue until 11:45pm on 13th Avenue between 47th and 48th streets. Musical performances will include Avraham Fried and Benny Friedman. The Twins from France will appear as well.
There will be a section for the women to stand and there will be a short children’s program at 10:00 PM.
Tehillim will be said for the swift justice of Rubashkin and for all Jewish people that need a yeshuah.
Rabbi Ginsburg, who has been organizing the event for the last 13 years, thanked Assemblyman Dov Hikind and askanim Chanina Sperlin, Yanki Mayer and Hirsh Freund for helping out with getting the proper permits.
