Reuven Polis, a former Crown Heights resident who was a driver for the Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson for a decade, passed away on Sunday night, Alef Iyar, 5782.
He was 88.
Reuven was a driver for the Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka for approximately ten years, during the years that the Rebbe held yechidus audiences with Chassidim.
As the Rebbetzin always wished to return home before the Rebbe, Reuven was very careful to remain in touch with the mazkirus to plan accordingly.
In general, he was known as a misuder person, his friends said.
He was predeceased by his sister Leah Chana who also had a connection with the Rebbetzin.
The levaya will take place on Monday, Bais d’Rosh Chodesh, passing by 770 at 1:00 pm to Old Montefiore Cemetery

I was lost for words.
To top it all, his humility.
A humble hiding chassid who merited to be such help, to be so close yet so quiet.
Many never knew be exists.
May his merit stand by him and us all to be reunited with The Rebbe at the immediate revelation bringing the geula now.
