He can also compose…
Businessman Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz, known in the Jewish world for his generous support of many institutions, has presented and even sang a new composition of his on Monday.
The annual Simchas Beis Hashoeiva celebration he holds at Congregation Shaarei Torah in Los Angeles featured this year the musical stars Mordechai Ben David and and Yitzchok Fuchs.
Members of the local litvish and chassidish communities danced to their music, with the joy and theme of Jewish unity fully apparent throughout.
At one point, posek Rabbi Yisroel Belsky of the OU and Yeshiva Torah Vodaas was seen dancing with Rabbi Shimon Raichik of Congregation Levi Yitzchok in Los Angeles and other rabbonim.
Rechnitz used the celebration to present his new song “Hineh Lo Yanum,” on the words of Tehillim which sound most fitting at a time when Israel continues to faces danger and threats.
