Rebbetzin Chava Hecht is busy these days accepting applications for the upcoming summer season at Camp Emunah in Ellenville, NY.
Yet she made a point to recently spend time at the Chabad Girls Academy in Crown Heights to share some unique stories that she personally witnessed with the Rebbe.
With tears in her eyes, she told how she and her late husband Rabbi JJ Hecht OBM asked the Rebbe to be a sandak three times in hopes that he would be blessed with his own children.
Listening to some very unique stories by Rebbetzin Hecht allowed the girls to experience a deeper dimension of the life of the Rebbe.
This powerful story and others left a lasting impact on the students. Sheyna Elkin shared her thoughts saying, “It was very interesting to hear these stories which were unusual and unique, It brings a whole new meaning to the idea of connection.”
“When we hear these accounts, they are not just amazing stories, the message is there for us to live with now,” said the school’s Director Devorah Leah Angyalfi. “Connect to the Rebbe, like he is here for you like a father. Be personable, understand that the Rebbe relates to each person in a real way and our unique bond only grows stronger each and every day.”
