A little while ago, Lubavitch of Philadelphia and yuvlaMedia presented a program of film and music, “The Rebbe’s Niggunim: Songs of the Inspired Soul,” that told the moving story of the niggunim the Rebbe taught.
For the program, six niggunim were specially arranged by Maestro Israel Edelson for string quartet. These arrangements are special: Truly faithful to the original melodies, and yet stunningly new. Presented now for the first time is a remastered version of the performance of the six niggunim, set against a relaxing visual of waves hitting the sand of a beach, with a record player in the foreground, a symbol of music melting past and present.
The tracks are also available for purchase on iTunes.
