From 1933 until 1940, the Rebbe and Rebbetzin lived in Paris, France. In June of 1940, just before Shavous, with the Nazi invasion of Paris imminent, they left for southern France. They lived in Nice for ten months.
Rabbi Menachem Tiechtel of Jerusalem was a young boy living in southern France at that time.
The Early Years, Volume IV covers the Rebbe and Rebbetzin’s last year in Europe from 1940 -1941 and is scheduled to be released shortly after Sukkos.
